Who is responsible
Harrington & Guy Travel Limited is responsible for this website’s analytics and partnership enquiries. Contact partners@harringtonguy.com about privacy, your information or your choices. Registered office: Berkeley Suite, 35 Berkeley Square, Mayfair, London, W1J 5BF. Company number 17496055.
Aggregate website analytics
We use limited aggregate statistics by default solely to understand and improve this website. You can turn this measurement off using the control below. We collect aggregate page views, scrolling, engaged time, coarse device, browser and operating-system categories, approximate cities and counts of page loads with a JavaScript error or unhandled promise rejection. Each page load contributes at most one error count. We do not collect form contents, error messages, error addresses, recordings, names or email addresses through analytics, and we do not use advertising trackers or fingerprinting.
Vercel derives approximate location information from your connection’s IP address. Aggregate analytics saves the country-labelled city category; it does not save separate country or region totals or the raw IP address. We do not request browser GPS or postal addresses. VPNs and mobile networks can make location inaccurate. All recorded city counts are displayed, including single visits. New analytics from connections Vercel identifies as Uttoxeter, GB are excluded. The separate live-sharing option below can show individual opted-in connections and their approximate location.
We use this measurement only for statistical purposes to improve the website, relying on the statistical-purposes exception for relevant storage/access and our legitimate interests in improving this service where personal information is processed. We do not use these statistics to profile people, target advertising or make decisions about individuals. You can object at any time using the control below. Existing opt-outs, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honoured. Turning analytics off stops future collection; previously aggregated statistics cannot be linked back to you.
Your analytics choice
Loading your preference…
Your choice is saved for up to 180 days. Existing opt-outs, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honoured. You can use the website with analytics turned off.
Optional live connection details
This is separate from aggregate statistics and is off unless you allow it. Our private staff map can show your approximate IP location, browser, device and time connected while this public page is open, then a grey marker for five minutes after you leave. We do not show your name or raw IP address, and create a new random connection identifier for each page load.
Loading your preference…
You can withdraw here at any time. Transient connection details expire shortly after the five-minute display window; they are not retained with the permanent aggregate totals. Your permission choice is remembered for up to 180 days.
Cookies and your banner choice
The public homepage offers equally prominent Accept and Reject buttons. Until you accept, optional live connection sharing stays off. Accept enables the live details described above; Reject leaves them off. Limited aggregate statistics continue unless you turn them off using Your analytics choice above. Your choice is remembered using browser local storage for up to 180 days. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or session recordings, and acceptance does not authorise unrelated future purposes. Browser privacy signals and any earlier aggregate opt-out are respected.
Storage and providers
The website is hosted by Vercel. Analytics are sent to our own website endpoint and stored as private daily aggregate files in Microsoft Azure in UK South without an automatic expiry, until an authorised administrator manually clears the analytics. After a manual clear, Azure’s existing restricted recovery copies may remain for up to 30 days before permanent deletion. Random batch identifiers prevent duplicate submissions and expire with the aggregate files; there is no persistent analytics visitor identifier. We restrict dashboard access to authorised administrators. These providers also process connection information to deliver and secure their services; their operational logs are separate from these analytics.
We save your analytics preference in your browser for up to 180 days so we can respect it. Clearing browser storage resets these preferences. Daily reporting uses GMT throughout the year. Providers may process service information internationally under their applicable data-protection arrangements.
If you allow optional analytics in our cookies and analytics banner, or separately allow live connection sharing here, a short-lived record is stored in a separate private Azure table in UK South, without version history or a visitor archive. A 20-second heartbeat updates it while connected. Departures are reported where possible; lost connections are inferred after 90 seconds without a heartbeat. The record is hidden five minutes after departure and removed by a scheduled cleanup normally within a further minute; temporary service interruptions can delay cleanup. Withdrawing permission stops sharing and attempts to remove the current tab’s connection details promptly. This processing relies on your consent and is limited to the live map, not advertising or profiling.
Enquiries and your rights
If you email or telephone us, we receive the contact and enquiry information you choose to provide. We use it to respond to your request and discuss a potential business relationship, relying on our legitimate interests in handling business enquiries. We retain correspondence only as needed for that relationship and applicable record-keeping requirements. We do not add enquiry contacts to marketing lists automatically.
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, or object to its use. You can object to aggregate analytics at any time using the control above. Contact us using the address above. You may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
